Resource Center

There is a lot to learn about the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative (GLSI). As a result, we have gathered various resources related to our work, including useful publications, documents, and downloadable files. Check out citations and links about

We are in the process of developing several new resources through a two-year grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, including

  • 10 media-rich case studies of exemplary place-based education (PBE) programs,
  • guiding principles for PBE and an associated self-assessment rubric, and
  • a white paper describing how the focus of place-based stewardship education varies in urban, suburban, and rural settings.

We expect these resources to be posted no later than fall 2016. Please check back to view and use these documents once they are posted.

If you have trouble accessing any of the resources mentioned or would like to suggest others, please contact GLSI Coordinator Mary Whitmore at mwhitmore@glft.org.
