Planning for an Environmental Place-Based Education Hub in the Flint Area

Project Description

This proposal focuses on Flint, the Flint River (in the Saginaw Bay Watershed), and selected schools in region. The applicant portrays the area as having both significant needs and assets. Partners in planning include the Genesee County Land Bank, the Michigan Nature Association, and Flint Community Schools. The planning process involves an assessment of school and community readiness (when additional planners will be identified and recruited), developing a vision for a sustainable effort, and crafting an implementation plan.
