Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Planning Initiative: Planning toward a Regional Network "hub" in Support of Great Lakes and Ecosystem Education and Stewardship

Project Description

This proposal builds upon an earlier capacity-building grant from the Trust. The region served comprises six counties in northeastern lower Michigan that are rich in coastal resources, community partners, and educators who have experience in place-based learning. Four work teams will address regional leadership/administrative processes; professional development/school support; community partners/projects; and funding/sustainability. Teams will report to a larger group that is representative of the region, and a core team will synthesize results and draft an implementation plan.
