Project Description
The primary area to be served is the Grand Traverse region, but the applicant proposes to work with people in Manistee to explore the possibility of extending services to that region. Key players in both localities have participated in the kind of professional development, school-community partnerships, and place-based collaboration that characterize the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative. The planning process is clearly defined and involves identifying the needs and capacities of stakeholders, defining the structure and functions of a hub, and developing an implementation plan.
