Project Description

The Grand Traverse Stewardship Initiative works with teams of K–12 teachers from 35 target schools, who in turn work with about 500 students and 30 community partners to learn about and field projects related to local stewardship needs. Both community partners and teachers participate in a variety of professional development opportunities. The hub helps teachers design and align their instruction to state content standards. A website provides resources, information, and updates about the work of participants.
