The best partnerships are those that are mutually beneficial. Through the GLSI, schools and communities do work that addresses environmental needs and issues of local importance. The results of these joint efforts are powerful, indeed. Students see themselves and are viewed by others as being valuable assets to the community as a whole. Community organizations accomplish a part of their mission while contributing significantly to the education of young people.
